Abstract

Given the importance of the narrator’s presence in the narrative work and its role in determining the levels of narration; This research dealt with modernity about the narrator and his role in narration, his prominent presence in the poetic text, explaining the difference between the narrator and the author, then dividing the narration according to the presence of the poetic event and the way it is narrated, and then touched on the types of narration, including: Adjacent narration - open end narration - circular end narration - also explained the technical form that the narrator adopts through some techniques that serve his artistic purposes, including (narrator and montage techniques - narrator and mask), as he analyzed some applied models.
