The ancient Egyptian believed that some materials have a special and hidden potential, as well as have some magical effects that are reflected on the bearer. As for the materials that were used in the manufacture of amulets, they have varied and evolved through the different ages. We find that they were made in the pre-dynastic era of ivory and this was found in the tombs of Naqada II, as well as from the tusks of the wild boar and the bones of the dead as well as it appears in the graves of Marmada Bani safety. The material that composes of the amulets also had a great effect, so we find gold metal symbolizes survival, which is the authority of minerals and its origin is the sunlight, which is a frozen metal, and statues of deities, kings, necklaces, bracelets and weapons were also made of it. The colors also had an effect on the amulets, for example a small green column guarantees youth to its bearer if it is made of clay coated with green enamel and the green color emits splendor, and also the golden color gives the bearer the length of life and the white color guarantees salvation.
