Abstract

This research aims to study the dialectic of the self and the other in The Feast Maqamah of Ibn Al-Muraba' Al-Azdi, and that is by analyzing the opposite pairs that created a dialectic within the maqamah, and started with the concept of Al-Maqamah, and its origins in the East, and Andalusia, and then explained how Ibn Al-Muraba' T, as its language was inspired by society, and the habits of the author, the author drew his artistic image in a painful way; the self and the other to possess the corner of the dialogue towards each other, and I have demonstrated the effect of employing poetic devices by Ibn Al-Muraba' on the dialectic , as the various poetic devices such as assonance, contrast, and alliteration played the role of the internal music, and for that it relied on models from the maqamh, which I analyzed and clarified. The dialectic of the self and the other according to these artistic tools, in which the image played an important role in the process of Creating illusion that added an aesthetic feature to the maqamh (narrative). This research came within the data of the social approach to monitor the most prominent social phenomena that constructed the duality and its dialectic. Additionally, the artistic approach revealed Ibn Al-Muraba' artistic tools, which he used by to express his ideas, and to reach his goal in a way that is acceptable to the reader.
