Aspects of the economic life of the dhimmis in the Islamic Maghreb through the events of Al-Wancharisi

Abstract

We aim through this research to touch some aspects related to the economic activity of the dhimmis in the Islamic Maghreb in its social and political dimensions, depending on the signs that we discern from the calamities of the standard. Its contents and the multiplicity of its problems, and this diversity reflects the strength of the jurisprudence of calamities in keeping pace with the methods used in the practice of economic activity.

The dignified presence in the countries of the Islamic Maghreb was closely linked to their activities that they were practicing, as the official authorities did not restrict them with barriers or obstacles that hindered them from leaving their mark on public life in its various institutions and practicing all life activities, but rather granted them privileges that allowed them to practice economic activity on the one hand and practice On the other hand, their daily lives, so they practiced crafts, practiced agriculture in all its forms, and emerged in the commercial field, taking advantage of the policy of tolerance and good-neighbourliness that they enjoyed in the Islamic Maghreb.
