Arab critics’ definitions of intertextuality are similar to those of Western critics, as they are merely a repetition of them or a translation of previous terms. However, some Arab critics and researchers were able, through their research, to set specific definitions for them, but in the end they flow around one circle, which is intertextuality.
The researchers unanimously agreed that Mikhail Bakhtin was the first to develop the concept of intertextuality, but he used it in a formula with the concept of dialogue; The sources also unanimously agreed that the term intertextuality has a Western origin; But the researcher believes that its origins are Arabic, as it came with the meaning (quote / theft / lending ... etc. ) and each term shows the degree of dependence of the poet on the text quoted from it .
Intertextuality is a set of relationships that include allusion, quotation, reference and implication, and this appeared in Western scholars such as Julia Kristeva and Mikhail Bakhtin, who considered it one of the basic components of the text that refer to previous texts about it, or live with it, and as (Soller) sees that “intertextuality in every A text of texts is concentrated in many texts, so that each new reading is considered an emphasis and condensation, and the intertextuality is through biblical geological layers, and these layers take place through the sufficiency of an unlimited number of text materials and are within a comprehensive ideological component.
