Abstract

The study of history is important in trying to understand the Arab-African relations in a better way, especially the Arab-African history from ancient times until contemporary history due to its interdependence in various stages of time and the human and intellectual aspects. The research talks about the role of Oman in the cultural landmarks in East Africa in terms of the architectural planning of the city of Zanzibar Sayyid Saeed bin Sultan built many palaces in Zanzibar, such as the Beit Al-Sahel Palace, Al-Matouni Palace, Al-Ras House, and Waturo House, With the specialization of each of them in one of the neighborhoods or a destination from the regions, he also built rural rest houses or provinces to reside in, such as Kizimbani province, Kijichi province, Shawini province, Seblini province, and other provinces, as well as interest in many civil and religious facilities such as Quranic schools, and schools and institutes spread in Zanzibar and its annexes in the islands, and we will also talk about urbanization in Mombasa, and this is what the study will address, as the study is divided into an introduction, four main axes, and a conclusion.
