The family is one of the most prominent elements that are most sensitive to social change in society. The marriage system for any society is the way to that change, whether in terms of construction or in terms of functions and the popular heritage of rituals, beliefs and proverbs represents one of the components of the identity of any society and this is what will This study, which aims to identify the marriage system of the Ababda community, as well as to know the position of the Ababda towards consanguineous marriage, explains it, and to know the customs that have developed in marriage and the customs that are still practiced without being affected by the change that occurred in the study community. The scientific research represented in observation, interview, and the use of informants. The results showed that the marriage system of the Ababda community is the same in terms of its stages and rituals, but with regard to the manifestations of celebration, it is the one that has had some development, and the secrets’ view of marriage from the same tribe has changed, as it has become permissible to marry outside the tribe After consultation among family members, this is due to the spread of religious, cultural and scientific awareness within the community.
