Analysis of political discourse towards member issues in the African Arab Republic of Egypt: an analytical study of Egyptian news websites

Abstract

This study seeks to monitor and analyze the Egyptian political discourse by applying it to "the speeches of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi" during Egypt's presidency of the African Union through the various Egyptian news websites, as well as identifying the most important issues that the Egyptian political discourse focused on "the speeches of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi" in the news sites replaced The study, the knowledge of the active forces and the reference frameworks on which the Egyptian political discourse was based, "the speeches of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi" in the news sites under study, as well as the disclosure of the most important strategies on which the Egyptian political discourse was based, as the researcher relied on the survey method, and the research was applied to Four Egyptian news websites (SIS website, Al-Ahram, Al-Youm Al-Sabea, Al-Watan) in the period 10/2/2019 to 11/2/2020 using the discourse analysis form.

The study found

The four news websites (the subject of the study) agreed to pay attention to the Egyptian political discourse regarding African issues during Egypt's presidency of the African Union.

The study concluded that the Egyptian political discourse reflects and indicates that Egypt's period during its presidency of the African Union was characterized by intense momentum at all levels and in various fields.

The results of the study indicated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's interest in African issues, foremost among which were issues of development and reconstruction, which ranked first with a rate of 13.75% .
