Addressing the websites of the Renaissance Dam crisis and its propaganda on Egypt's national security

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the frameworks for addressing the websites of the Renaissance Dam crisis and its repercussions on Egypt's national security. The period from the beginning of the third filling of the dam lake in July 2022 and for a period of three consecutive months through a comprehensive survey. The study found:

1. The issue of emphasizing Egypt’s adherence to the rights of Egypt in the Nile waters and its right to the Ethiopian side’s commitment not to prejudice Egypt’s security came at the forefront of the topics raised by press websites with a rate of 25.5%, followed by the issue of presenting the Renaissance Dam crisis to the international community to search for solutions by 18.5%, then insistence Ethiopia for intransigence and procrastination in negotiations by 17.7%.

2. The political frameworks emerged as the most reference frameworks on which news websites relied at a rate of 38.1%, followed by the legal frameworks at a rate of 23.9%, then the historical frameworks = at a rate of 13.3%, and finally then the social frameworks at a rate of 11.9%.

3. The predominance of the framework of negotiation in dealing with the Renaissance Dam crisis among press websites by 16.6%, followed by the framework of intransigence and procrastination by 12.9%, then the framework of cooperation and understanding by 11.6%, followed by the framework of solutions and proposals by 11.3%, then the framework of pressure and escalation by 10.5%,
