Beneficiaries' attitudes towards using the catalogs of Aswan University libraries

Abstract

Libraries of Aswan University faculties strive to provide services and solve the elements that help and encourage beneficiaries to use their indexes in an easy and continuous manner. The field approach and the questionnaire were adopted in obtaining information. From the results of the research, it was found that the most difficulties experienced by the beneficiaries in using the catalogs of Aswan University libraries are the lack of instructions on how to use the catalogs, the lack of sufficient computer equipment, and the lack of training programs. The study recommended holding training courses on the use of catalogs and guiding the beneficiaries and educating them, in addition to indexing all the books and containers in the library and raising awareness of the importance of using catalogs and preparing a guide explaining how to use the catalogs in addition to indexing all sources of information in the library where the sample was chosen based on the beneficiaries and it was through a questionnaire and distributed to them The final number that the researcher relied on was 600 samples.
