The anthropogical vision of wall paintings in the Nubian communities in Egypt

Abstract

Abstract

The decorations and murals in the Nubian society provide remarkable anthropological indications and refer to customs and traditions associated with it. The current study seeks to identify these indications and to find out the changes that occurred to these motifs. This study also seek to achieve a set of objectives. They are as follows:

-identify the ecology of the study community.

-identify the traditional Nubian decorative units and their anthropological significance.

-Learn about Nubian drawing tools.

-Shedding light on the habits associated with the Nubian culture of decoration, especially the wall shapes.

-The study also aims at identifying the related customs and traditions, and the changes that occurred to it.

The study relied on the semiological theory. Symbolic interactive theory. and ecological theory.

In conclusion; the study reached several results among which that the cultural communication and ecological change in the study society played significant role in changing these indications and customs.
