Abstract

Research summary



The current study sought to achieve a main objective represented in the study of the cultural heritage associated with the births of the saints, and the choice fell on the study of the birth of Sidi Abu Yazid Al-Bistami in Nagaa Al-Bistami in the village of Al-Kubaniya, northwest of the city of Aswan, as a “model.” and this It allowed the researcher a practical field experience and an attempt by the researcher to apply the anthropological methodology as applied by the pioneers such as Malinowski and Rad Cliff Brown, where the researcher applied the anthropological method with its observational tools through participation and full coexistence with the local community and interviews of all kinds.

The current study reached a set of results, for example:

1. The cultural heritage, practices and rituals of the parents’ birthdays contain many aspects of agreement and differences.

2.The rituals of the parents' birthdays contain signs, symbols, and beliefs that need to be studied, researched, analyzed, and interpreted for this phenomenon that strikes the depth of the human self in the study community.
