Abstract

This study dealt with the impact of water on military battles in the era of the Islamic Levant during the second Abbasid era (232-656 AH / 847-1258 AD).The aim of this study was to identify the effect of confusion on Islamic battles during the pre-Islamic era and the issuance of Islam until the end of the first Abbasid era Water played a major role in battles through several different aspects, and it is one of the priorities of equipping the soldiers. The abundance of water leads to the victory of the soldiers and the continuation of their strength to continue the battle. Therefore, the soldiers took advantage of the water in the battle plans and used them in military tricks, and the rains also had a great impact on the conduct of battles and victory Or the defeat of armies, and rivers and seas also played a role in Muslim wars.
