.The history of the Mamluk era is characterized by a state of momentum and privacy as a result of the widening of the time period as well as the social and cultural diversity, the economic situation and other elements of this history. In addition, one of the most prominent features of this momentum is the administrative hierarchy and graphic systems that distinguished the Mamluk era from a great diversity of titles. And functions, the Mamluk administrative apparatus was distinguished by a great degree of professionalism, diversity, and delegation of authority even in the simplest administrative tasks.
The researcher intends, through this study, to investigate the nature of the term al-hammandar and to stand on its pivotal role in the Mamluk era.
The researcher intends, through this study, to investigate the meaning of the term mehmandar, to stand on its pivotal role in the Mamluk era, and to examine the specificity of this job and the leaders of those who assumed the job, in addition to the specificity of the function of the mehmandar in the Mamluk era, and the most prominent roles and assignments that the mehmandar performed in addition to the cultural product and civilized roles. For the Mahmandar, his roles did not depend on diplomacy and politics, but rather he had a prominent civilized role during the study period.
