Abstract

The research deals with the study of intrigues and conspiracies and their impact on political isolation in Andalusia (138-484 AH / 756-1091 AD). The conspiracies and plots that were hatched in order to overthrow the ruler were one of the causes of political isolation in the country. Many people in power, whether princes or governors, as well as ministers, jurists and others, were removed from their positions during that period. The reason for this is due to the conspiracies they were plotting to surround the ruling. In this research, we also talked about the most important caliphs and governors during whose reign there were intrigues and conspiracies. The most important figures who were subjected to political isolation: Conspiracies were not carried out by enemies of the state only, but in many cases those who carried out these intrigues and conspiracies were those close to the ruler, and the sons of the rulers. And those who aspire to power. We also touched on the position of the rulers towards the owners of these conspiracies and the punitive measures that were taken against them as a means of punishing them, such as imprisonment, confiscation of their property, and other penalties that were taken against them as a type of punishment. It is worth noting that the state was not satisfied with removing the conspirators from their position only, but it was punishing them. The worst and most severe punishment so that they can be an example to others
