Abstract

We are now living in the digital age in which it has become difficult to know the huge amount of intellectual production of quality, whether digital or traditional, in light of this tremendous technological development.

Intellectual property rights are of great importance after scientific theft spread not only in third world countries, but also in developed countries, and the rights of many owners of creativity and science were wasted to protect this creativity and innovation.

Between the increase in production and technological development, the author lost his right to his intellectual effort, and researchers lost awareness of copyright in that digital environment, and the researcher became confused between the term quotation and scientific theft.

From this standpoint, the researcher addressed the issue of the extent of awareness of researchers (postgraduate students) at the Faculty of Arts, South Valley University, of the intellectual property rights of the author in the digital environment.

To identify this digital environment and the characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages it contains, in addition to the most important digital works covered by intellectual protection, and to identify the intellectual rights of the author and address the most important agreements and laws that protect those rights. This research reached a set of results,
