This study mainly aims to identify the reality of digital information awareness among faculty members at Aswan University, and its impact on the development of scientific research, in terms of identifying the extent of the availability of the skill of identifying the need for information among faculty members at that university, and identifying the extent of the availability of digital research skills. In accessing information, and recognizing the importance of digital awareness and the skills of completing scientific research among its members, Identify the methods that are used to develop the digital awareness skills of these members, and also identify future proposals that can be taken to develop their information awareness skills. The method used in the study is the field method, and the tool used to collect data is the questionnaire and structured interviews of those whom the researcher was allowed to interview. The study resulted in many results, the most important of which are: The most important means used to develop digital awareness skills for faculty members at the university is to provide training programs within the project to develop creativity and excellence for faculty members, and that most participants believe that continuing direct research develops the research skills and capabilities of the researcher, and that the most important reasons for choosing participants are The study of databases is specialized topical coverage of an area of interest.
