The role of information awareness in individuals’ self-learning: a proposed program

The current study aims to identify the role of information awareness in the self-learning of craftsmen in Qena Governorate, the extent of the craftsman's knowledge of methods for searching for electronic information, and the impact of the craftsman's awareness of technology and the Internet on the level of his craft.The study sample consisted of (400) craftsmen, and the researcher used a questionnaire tool and personal interviews with those with These crafts to collect the primary data necessary to conduct and complete the study. The descriptive approach was used because it aims to reveal the phenomenon in all its aspects and levels as it exists in reality.The results resulted in an impact of the extent of the craftsman's knowledge of methods for searching for electronic information on his craft in terms of (Productivity. level of service provision, accuracy, communication about the craft, number of customers) by(62.8%)This indicates the importance of using the computer and the Internet in developing the skills of the craftsman,and that there is a positive impact(77.0%)of the craftsman's use of smartphones connected to the Internet and the various research methods through them on the craft profession.If this indicates the importance of using smartphones related to the Internet in relation to the work of the craftsman in the current technological era, and the existence of a direct relationship between the information awareness of the craftsman and the use of technology in his work because technology helps the craftsman to be satisfied with his level and develop himself by (24.3%)
