TV series’ treatment of the role of the Egyptian soldier in confronting the issue of terrorism after the 2013 revolution (Selection series as an example)

Abstract

The importance of the study is to know the extent of the contribution of Egyptian television series in highlighting the role of the Egyptian soldier in confronting terrorism issues in Sinai after 2013, and to know the nature of the image with which the Egyptian soldier was presented in the series (The Choice), the sample of the study, in addition to knowing the ability of the influence of television drama in clarifying the human image of the soldier. Egyptian.

The study concluded:

_We found that the Egyptian soldier played the main roles in the series’ episodes, with a percentage of 60%.

_ The positive role was ranked first for the nature of the roles played by the Egyptian soldier in the series, the study sample, with a percentage of 89.76%.

_The average economic level of the Egyptian soldier within the series, the study sample, came in first place at 50%, and this aspect shows the extent of the suffering that the soldier feels inside Egyptian homes, the majority of whose families belong to this middle class.

_

_The Armed Forces, as an active party within the events of the series, came in first place, then the Ministry of Interior came in second place, then Al-Azhar Al-Sharif came in third place.

_The Jerusalemite organization was among the most prominent terrorist entities that were focused on within the events of the series, the sample of the study.
