Abstract

***

This research aims to study the narrative frequency in Radwa Ashour’s novels in light of the structural approach, and how to employ this component in the structure of the study’s novels, and how to benefit from the relationships of repetition between the story and the discourse, and to identify the structural benefits of this frequency in its various forms, and all of this was applied to Gerard Genette’s classification as required by the study.

The research came in an introduction in which we discussed the term frequency, its importance, and its forms in fictional works, Starting with the single frequency with its narrative function, which represents the general framework that constitutes the events, passing through the repetitive narrative and the focus of vision that accompanied some important events on which the narration depended a lot, and the narrator restricted his field of view to them because of their importance, at last the frequency of frequency and the reduction of narrative time that accompanied the use of folding.
