Abstract

The study aimed to try to identify the semiotic features and signs that showed organized connotations of the hidden meanings behind the production of press photos of Egyptian tourism events in light of Egypt’s 2030 strategy, through the mummies ceremony and the opening of the Rams Road. This study belongs to the type of qualitative studies, and the survey method was used, as well as The semiotic approach, and the most prominent images were selected from the two websites (Al-Ahram - Youm7) in the time period for the study sample from April 2021 to November 2021, on a deliberate sample of (8) images. The semiotic analysis tool for still images and the “Roland Barthes” approach to analysis were used. Semiotics, the results of the study reached: The Egyptian state has demonstrated its ability to organize major tourism events that carry the idea of ​​re-exporting the holiday celebrations of our Pharaohs ancestors, such as the opening ceremony of the Road of Rams and Mummies.
