The role of social media pages in gaining support for national initiatives

Abstract

The study aimed to clarify the role of social networking sites pages in gaining support for state-sponsored national initiatives by analyzing the pages for these initiatives on social networking sites. This study is one of the descriptive studies that used the survey method. The study was applied to a sample of social networking sites. On three sites (Facebook, X, Instagram) through a sample of national initiatives launched by the state, namely the (Decent Life) initiative, by applying the theory of dependence on media and using the content analysis tool.



The study sought to identify the structural elements of national initiative pages on social media sites, in addition to knowing the technical influences and the form of technological elements used by social media sites through their presentation of initiatives, which would attract the attention of the public and influence their interests, which in turn would be a reason for gaining support and enhancing loyalty to this issue. The type of initiatives launched by the state.

The study reached a number of results, the most important of which are:

The social networking site (Facebook) was one of the sites on which the public interacted most through positive emojis in publications of national initiatives (a decent life).



- -The public’s interest in interacting with national initiatives through the two social networking sites (X-Facebook) by making posts, requiting and tweeting.
