Abstract

This study aims to identify some of the necessities of adding "Tanween" (التنوين) to the Diptotes in works of preeminent poets. It also aims to investigate the concept of poetic necessity and distinguish between what is obligatory and what is linguistic. This issue is tackled in this research from a descriptive analytical approach to indicate obligations, analyze them, and highlight the opinions of scientists in this regard. This study is divided into an introduction, a preface, and two chapters. The first chapter investigates adding "Tanween" (التنوين) to Diptotes or "Mamnu Min As Sarf" due to a certain necessity or obligation; whereas the second chapter investigates adding "Tanween" (التنوين) due to linguistic needs to Diptotes or "Mamnu Min As Sarf". Both chapters focus on the in the works of great poets to discuss the concerned issues. Finally, there is a conclusion that presents the findings of the research. Then, there is a works cited list that includes all the sources and references that have contributed in producing this paper.
