Abstract

The Ramesses ruled Egypt for two centuries of its history. These were glorious years during which the country occupied a prestigious position, without anyone disputing it, throughout the Near East. The Ramesses pharaohs were able to establish a sprawling empire and impose their control over Africa. The authority of the kings of Egypt extended. Thus, the era of the heroic kings emerged, the era of the great epic of the conquering kings. Religious ideology formulated its deepest myths, and literary and artistic culture reached the peak of its prosperity. The era of the Ramesses was a new beginning in the history of the Egyptian nation from both the political and religious perspectives. It was also an era of prosperity and internal reform in terms of administration and architecture. The family of Ramses I is not attributed to the royal family, but rather it is from the military and its original homeland is the eastern Delta, and perhaps Qantir is its birthplace. As for the king, he is a former officer who held the position of minister before he was crowned king. His name wa "Pra-Rmessu" or "Ramessu". It can be assumed that Horemheb, before his death, chose him as his partner in the throne because of his political influence
