Journalist's review of the issue of illegal immigration on Egyptian websites

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the frameworks for how websites deal with the issue of illegal immigration by identifying the journalistic arts, the media frameworks used, and the objectives of the journalistic material. This study is considered one of the descriptive studies that used the survey method in its analytical part. The study relied on the content analysis tool for a sample of the news that was collected. It was published on the electronic websites (Youm 7 website, Al-Ahram Gate website, Al-Wafd website) in the period between January 1 and April 1, 2024. The study sample amounted to 699 journalistic articles using a comprehensive inventory method, and the study relied on the theory of media frameworks.

The study reached a number of results

the most important of which are:The short news story came as the most prominent type of journalistic art used in presenting the issue under study. This is due to the interest in the function of informing and informing about the issue more than trying to reveal the reasons, followed by the news report.

The study showed the media frameworks that the study sites employed on the issue of illegal immigration, where the positives framework ranked first with a rate of (17.02%
