Abstract

The study aimed to assess the role of the regional radio network in addressing development issues in line with Egypt's Vision 2030. It used a content analysis form to examine the "Unified Integration Period" on the regional radio network over two consecutive broadcasting cycles.

The results showed that the network adhered to its role in supporting development by offering content that aligns with Egypt’s Vision 2030. It focused heavily on developmental issues, particularly social and cultural topics. Cultural issues made up 30.3% of the content, while social issues accounted for 24.6%, reflecting the network’s emphasis on sustainability and the unique cultural identity of each region in Egypt.

Radio dialogue was the most common format, comprising 33.1% of the content. The general public was the primary target audience, representing 64.8%. Emotional persuasion techniques were used in 32.5% of the programming, while the information presented was 17.32% objective and clear, enhancing the credibility of the broadcasts and strengthening public trust.

The content carried positive values, with 71.2% of segments conveying an optimistic message, encouraging active participation in sustainable development.

Key recommendations included improving transmission coverage across all regions, using modern technology, focusing on people with disabilities, especially the visually impaired, and increasing live broadcast periods while fostering greater audience interaction.
