Abstract

This research dealt with the study of the pictorial structure in the poetry of Katheer Azza and Al-Abbas bin Al-Ahnaf

A comparative study, and focused on clarifying the manifestations of personification in them, and showing the artistic methods that the two poets relied on to highlight their inner essence, and the extent to which these methods were appropriate to what they felt and the extent to which they touched their psychological state.

The researcher relied on several methods that helped him in this study, including the descriptive method, the analytical method, the historical method, and the comparative method.

The nature of this research also required that it come in an introduction in which it discusses the importance of the topic, the reason for choosing it, its objectives, and its plan, then an introduction, and three chapters: The first chapter discusses the manifestations of personification in the poetry of Katheer Azza, and the second discusses the manifestations of personification in the poetry of Al-Abbas bin Al-Ahnaf, while the third topic was entitled: The similarity and difference between the two poets in terms of (pictorial structure), then came the conclusion, then the index of sources and references.
