Abstract

Verbal expression contributes to the breadth of the manifestations of the paradox and its types, in a way that allows us to imagine the difference between intonation and generation, that is: harmony, harmony, and conflict, because of the coherence of words with meanings, so the speech is in the best form, and the strongest statement, so the ingenuity of expression and the strength of words are manifested, and the sincerity of the sensory character of the writer, and the paradox also contributes to strengthening the text, and giving it more coherence and depth, as it works to push the reader or listener to search for the true meaning of the text.

The verbal paradox is one of the clearest forms of paradox, and the most prominent in terms of the spread of its employment in modern Arabic poetry, because of the sudden semantic emanations that accompany it, the dimensions of which were formed through pronunciation, image and attitude.

The poetry of Mahmoud Hassan Ismail is based on the intensity of the paradox, which depends on the apparent meaning of the clear.

The research revolves around several axes, namely: verbal paradox, situational paradox, and also deals with the dialogue paradox, and then self-paradox.
