This study aimed to identify the impact of TikTok on the transformation of social values among young people, to determine the rate of exposure to or viewing of the TikTok app, to identify the primary purpose or goal of young people's use of TikTok, and to uncover the nature of the content they prefer to follow on TikTok. This study is a descriptive study that used a survey method on a purposive sample of 334 young TikTok users. Data was collected from the young people via an electronic questionnaire. The results of the study indicated a strong, statistically significant, direct correlation between young people's exposure to TikTok and their exposure to new values that differ from the traditional values prevalent in society. The results also indicated no statistical differences between males and females in their exposure to new values that differ from the traditional values prevalent in society. The results indicated that following specific content creators (celebrities - influencers) was the most common purpose or goal behind participants' use of TikTok. The results also indicated that TikTok strongly encourages the adoption of unconventional values and practices among a large percentage of young people.
