A Bibliometric Study of the International Research Output of Faculty Members and Their Assistants at Suez University as Indexed in the Scopus Database

Abstract

Publishing in international databases is considered a key indicator of research development in universities. This study aims to analyze the scholarly output of faculty members and their assistants at Suez University, as indexed in the Scopus database during the period from 2012 to 2024. The study adopts a bibliometric approach to examine temporal, formal, and thematic aspects of the publications, track growth rates, and explore authorship and collaboration trends. It also identifies the most prominent journals used for publishing and the main local and international research partners. The results revealed that Suez University is included in international rankings such as the Times and Webometrics classifications. The total number of publications indexed in Scopus during the study period reached approximately 4013 works. The findings indicated a significant growth in research output and expanding collaboration, especially in engineering and basic sciences,Research collaboration partners of Suez University and the funding agencies supporting research at Suez University were also identified.
